NIYAMA
2 Month Intensive Course
“A disciplined journey from practitioner to teacher”
The Intensive is all about gaining anatomical information on asana with its bodily benefits and required adjustment for different levels of practitioners. The mechanics of the human body are tricky to understand as it requires the maximum amount of awareness. In this class, you will learn how to perform muscular locks to improve your range of motion. The techniques demonstrated in the class will help you work on your mobility and strength through passive movements.
Alignment and adjustments during asana practice are something that shields people from long-term injuries. These adjustments are elaborated through an emphasis on the retention of postures during asana practice. The class also focuses on breathing patterns for practice and how performing retention can help with making your joints stable. Niyama is an overall short stop at intensifying your practice with a deeper knowledge of body mechanics.
